Welcome to BOI

Cargo

Boise and Boise Airport are uniquely positioned as a hub for government, commerce, banking, and recreation for the State of Idaho, eastern Oregon and northeastern Nevada. Located mid-way between Salt Lake City and Portland in southwestern Idaho, Boise is strategically located for reaching western markets. The growth of BOI's air cargo market has coincided with the high tech manufacturing that has found a home in the Boise Valley.

In addition to the 6 mainline and regional airlines providing service through the airport, there are almost 50 motor freight trucking companies, 30 air freight and package express companies, and several air courier services monthly. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service maintains an office at the airport.

The level of transportation services provided from the area are unmatched by any city of similar size in the country. Major cargo carriers have a solid presence at BOI. FedEx continues to operate from facilities east of the terminal and United Parcel Service operates from the west end of the airfield, adjacent to the threshold of Runway 10R.

Boise Airport takes pride in our assets and strives to protect them. Our citizens and businesses rely on us to be an economic engine by providing high quality facilities that are both aviation and business friendly. While west coast airports like Seattle and San Francisco are constrained for space, Boise has a clean slate for cargo expansion. Our favorable market, growth potential, diverse aviation use, and protected airport environment are

attributes that set us apart from larger airports such as Portland and Seattle.
